How to Get Here
Edinburgh Conference Centre at Heriot-Watt Univeristy is located just 6 miles west of Edinburgh City Centre, 3 miles from Edinburgh International Airport and just minutes from Edinburgh City Bypass. This combined with car parking for over 1,000 cars and excellent public tranpsort links to the city centre 24/7 means getting here could not be easier.
Travelling by Air
Edinburgh International Airport is served by scheduled national and international flights.
The airport is on the west of the city, just 3 miles from the campus.
The journey by taxi takes about 10 minutes.

The 747 operated by Stage Coach (contact details above) operates a limited service between the campus and the airport Monday-Friday. Taking approx 30 mins, the first service leaves the Airport at approx 07.25. The service continues on an hourly basis thorough the day until 16.35.

By bus, the express Airlink service (number 100 bus) links the airport and the city centre and takes approx 25 minutes.
The service terminates at Waverley Bridge, near to Waverley train station and bus station and is just off the city's main street, Princess Street. The service runs seven days a week from approx 04.45 to approx 00.20

The Hermiston Park and Ride is approx 10 minutes walk from the Edinburgh Conference Centre, it can also be accessed by taking the LRT No.25 bus service.
Travelling by Car
Heriot-Watt University is half a mile west of the Calder Junction exit from the A720 city bypass and the A71 (there are signs for Heriot-Watt University on the approach to Calder Junction)
On the M8, from Glasgow turn right at Herminston Gate roundabout following the signs for the A71.
The A720 is a dual carriageway which starts at Edinburgh and can be accessed from all major routes entering and leaving the city. A90 (North), M8/M9 (West), A720 (South and M6) and A7 and A68 (Borders and South), A1 (South and East).
Visitor Car Parking
Car Park C is for residential guests and visitors to Edinburgh Conference Centre, please take the first exit on the left from the main avenue.
Alternatively Visitors to campus can park in Visitors Car Park A or B at the main entrance

Park and Ride
The 747 services runs Monday to Friday from Dunfermline via Inverkeithing, Ferrytoll Park and Ride, Edinburgh Airport, RBS Gogarburn, Gyle Centre.
The morning journey departs the Ferrytoll at 07.35 and arrives at Heriot-Watt University at approx 8.40. The service continues on an hourly basis throughout the day with a last journey departing from the ferrytoll at 16.15.

Local Bus Diversions from 21 February 2009
Princes St will be closed to buses between South
Charlotte Street and South St. David St from 21 February 2009 for up to 8 months.

The journey to Heriot-Watt University by bus takes about 30 to 45 minutes from the city centre depending on the time that you are travelling. Lothian Buses offers services 25, X25, 34, 45 and N25 (Nigh Bus) to Heriot-Watt University
The 25 is the most frequent bus to Edinburgh Campus, leaving the city centre every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes after 19.00. During peak times, morning and evening, Monday to Friday, the X25 runs to the Edinburgh Campus every 15-20 minutes.
The 25 departs from Princes Street, via Haymarket Station, Gorgie Road and Sighthill. The X25 has a limited stop route beginning at Waterloo Place via Princess Street, Lothian Road and running non-stop to Sighthill before arriving at Heriot-Watt University.
The 25 runs until midnight, after which Lothian Buses operate the N25, a nightly bus service which runs every 30 minutes to the campus from Waverley train station via Princes Street, Haymarket, Gorgie and Sighthill.
The 34 departs from Princes Street via Lothian Road, Fountainpark, Slateford Road and Sighthill. The service operates every 15 mins during the day and every 30 mins in the evening until approx 11 0'clock.
The 45 departs from St Andrew Square via the Mound, Tollcross, Bruntsfield, Merchiston and Cariglockhart. The service operates every 30 minutes Monday to Friday from approx 07.00 - 09.00
